Thank you! :) I really needed some eye bleach after a trash jigsaw I’ve played from Steam this week :D This one features really nice pictures, no infuriating features like distracting animated elements or constant pieces shuffling :)

Still I might say that the pictures aren’t too well suited for this many puzzle pieces, had to literally “bruteforce” endings of some. Funny enough, after that generated a few images by Stable Diffusion and they often have consistent detail size and density to reduce guessing almost to zero.

A few IMHO suggestions (very subjective, so don’t pay too much attention :))

  1. One-handed input, at least as alternative, would make the game mobile-friendly and overall will improve the game ergonomics. Yeah, the amount of tiles is not mobile-friendly, so variable amount of tiles could also be welcome. Most puzzle games just get away with “not rotating” the piece too :) Also, maybe click-to-pick-up -> click-to-put-down might be an even more comfortable solution?
  2. Some music is always welcome. Not sure if something better than jazz suits jigsaw puzzles :D There’re plenty of creative-commons licensed tracks out there. I played with flute track in background :)
  3. When I select a piece often not the one on the top is picked up.
  4. If the tile doesn’t fit on the field, it returns into its original position in the shuffled pile instead of its previous position. = missclick and the tile you were working with is lost :)
  5. There is a very big margin around the area (at 1366x768 screen), it could be much better if the empty space could be used to distribute the pieces better or to have the central image larger. Also it seems like (on my specific monitor) on portrait orientation images the upper areas of the image are barely accessible and the lowest row is completely inaccessible due to the same problem.
  6. As collecting the puzzle takes a huge lot of time saving of the state might be very welcome
  7. Hiding cursor during dragging may be very convenient, because sometimes it covers lower connector of the piece and it’s not convenient.
  8. There seems to be some (very minor but still) scaling issues on the pieces, most likely also related to my monitor resolution. Sometimes they leave “gaps” after placed.
  9. It seems like there is some way to cheat the game a bit. If you dump all of the pieces into one pile - they tend to get picked out of it in a sequential order, row-by-row.
  10. Congratulations, you have completed the puzzle — well, technically it’s the best moment to show the finished picture to the player :) Instead we have a shade + text right on top of the result of the hard work :)
